Graham Williams Appointed to Lafitte Greenway Economic Development District

SNW Partner's first Board of Commissioners Meeting was September 30, 2026.

On September 30, SNW Partner Graham Williams attended his first meeting as a board member for the inaugural board of the Lafitte Greenway Economic Development District (“LGEDD”).

Established by the Louisiana Legislature in 2024, the LGEDD is a special district designed to support investment in the Lafitte Greenway as well as investment in adjacent communities for projects such as stormwater management, affordable
housing, small/minority business support, and bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure and amenities. Williams joined the board as a designee of City Councilman Freddie King III.

Other board members present were Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Jeff Schwartz; District A City Councilmember Aimee McCarron; CEO of People’s Housing Plus Oji Alexander; City Councilmember Eugene Green; Owner of AllStar Animal Clinic, Dr. Jai Diggs; Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Director of Environmental Programs, Dan Favre; Louisiana State Senator Royce Duplessis; and David Demarest, an owner of Bayou Wine and Bayou Beer Garden.

At Wednesday’s meeting, the board unanimously elected Oji Alexander as President and Williams as Secretary.

During public comment, Williams expressed his excitement to work with the board, describing the Lafitte Greenway as critical infrastructure for connecting New Orleanians across neighborhoods and reducing social distance.
