Alesia M. Ardoin  brings more than two decades of experience in Louisiana campaign finance, governmental ethics, regulatory compliance, and administrative enforcement defense to Sternberg, Naccari & White, LLC. Having served as both an enforcement attorney and defense counsel, she offers clients a rare, practical understanding of how complex ethics matters are investigated, evaluated, and resolved.

For 15 years, Alesia practiced alongside R. Gray Sexton, a longtime and preeminent figure in Louisiana ethics law. Mr. Sexton spent four decades at the Board of Ethics, and developed the modern code of Governmental Ethics. Alesia spent eight years with the Louisiana Board of Ethics, where she served as Supervising Attorney for Campaign Finance. She directed enforcement, compliance, and advisory matters, developing an unrivaled command of Louisiana’s campaign finance and ethics laws. She left to join Sexton, and joined SNW in 2026.

Her experience on both sides of a case has shaped Alesia’s approach to her cases. Guided by her philosophy that effective advocacy means “telling the better story,” she presents the entire case to provide vital context to the person or entity behind the public file. She operates under the firm belief that a professional reputation takes a lifetime to build and that her clients deserve an attorney who will work just as hard to protect that reputation.

Ardoin, joins SNW with a plan to amplify her effect through the practices and clients the firm provides. Already, through her years of work, she is recognized as the guru of ethics, government, and compliance. Through her practice, including litigation, she has shaped seminal ethics case law, including a number of key evidentiary standards. Like her new colleagues at SNW, she, too, has successfully challenged the constitutionality of numerous laws leading to critical legislative changes.

Alesia is proud to carry on a distinguished legacy of high ethical standards, practical advice, high-level regulatory advocacy throughout Louisiana. At SNW, her practice will focus on ethics compliance, campaign finance regulation, administrative law, and enforcement defense. Ardoin also has significant experience in litigation and business advice, particularly in construction matters. She continues to represent clients in select litigation matters, particularly those involving ethics and compliance, and now adds her significant experience to support the firm’s ongoing corporate, personal and litigation matters.

Outside her practice, Alesia loves reading, traveling, and resides in Denham Springs with her three children.
