  • Small Business Bankruptcy (Subchapter V)

    SNW's attorneys, and particularly SNW Partner Ryan Richmond, have been at the forefront of the recently enacted Small Business Reorgnization Act of 2019, otherwise known as "Subchapter V." 


    Subchapter V allows some small businesses with less than $7.5 million in debt more effieciently and cost-effectively reorganize in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.


    SNW Partner Ryan Richmond, a Subchapter V Trustee, has confirmed plans in all three federal districts in the state of Louisiana and is also admitted in Mississippi and Texas.  


    Ryan Richmond, one of the first Subchapter V Trustees in Lousiaina, has utilized his mediation training to come up with creative ways to keep small businesses who can take advantage of this new tool to reorganize and thrive.
