NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana law firm of Sternberg, Naccari & White, LLC, which practices throughout Louisiana from its offices in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, has acquired the remaining interest in Delaney, Robb & Rubin, LLC. DRR Partner Andrea Rubin will join SNW as a Partner and lead the firm’s family law practice.
Rubin practices general litigation, family law, adoptions, and estate planning, and focuses on Title IX cases. Rubin’s firm is well-known as a LGBTQ-focused firm and was one of the preeminent LGBT-owned law firms in the Southeast.
Rubin will expand the firm’s practice areas into family law and adoption, and particularly private adoptions. Her more than a decade of legal experience will add to the firm’s already burgeoning litigation and estate planning practices.
“Our number one requirement for any lawyer is they have to be an entrepreneur,” said Scott Sternberg, SNW’s Managing Partner. “Andrea’s practice areas expand our offerings, and we will continue DRR’s commitment of service to all of the New Orleans community, but particularly to LGBTQ businesses and families that trust the Delaney, Robb and Rubin name.”
Rubin, a graduate of Loyola Law School, is married with one daughter. She has served as a Governor of the Human Rights Campaign and currently serves as chair of LGBT outreach on the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee.
“I chose SNW because I walked in the office and felt the commitment to community and client service,” said Rubin. “I’ve always treated my clients like family, and I’m excited about showing them how much more our new firm can do for their families now.”
Rubin will join the firm August 1, 2020, and be in the office full time starting in late August, as she continues winding down the affairs of Delaney, Robb & Rubin. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (504) 267-9700.
