Andrea Rubin’s firm, Delaney, Robb, and Rubin LLC, the foremost LGBTQ+ focused law firm in the state, was acquired by Sternberg, Naccari, & White in 2020. Andrea’s years of experience in nuanced family law proceedings, including adoption, mediation, child custody, and gender marker changes, allow her to advocate for LGBTQ+ families and youth with passion and precision.
As a volunteer and veteran member of the National Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign, Andrea has lobbied and fought for LGBTQ+ rights in and out of the courtroom. A Tupelo, Mississippi native, Andrea attended University of New Orleans where she earned her bachelor’s degree and became a New Orleanian at first sight. She later achieved her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University, where she served as a member of the Student Bar Association and was appointed to the Diversity Committee. Andrea then returned to Loyola to direct the Student Conduct department, where she gained further experience in FERPA, Title IX, and Student Disciplinary Procedures before partnering with DRR in 2015.
Andrea was named one of New Orleans’s Top Lawyers of 2019 in New Orleans Magazine and she currently serves as Co-Chair of the LGBTQ+ Sub-committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association Diversity Committee. She is an inaugural member of the Krewe of Themis, an all women Mardi Gras krewe formed on the platform of social justice and community engagement. Andrea and her wife enjoy experiencing the world through their young daughter’s eyes and are avid world travelers. Their daughter brings home a rubber duckie from every country she visits and aspires to be a “bat doctor.”
